Nathan Kark, Executive Director

Nathan has a wide range of experience within the Michigan Legislature and working in local government administration. Prior to joining the Michigan Cable Telecommunications Association team, he held a corporate position as the director of government affairs for one of Michigan’s largest cannabis companies. He also formerly worked as the director of policy and legislative affairs for the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

Nathan loves working with MCTA’s member companies to provide critical connectivity and communication services to homes and businesses throughout Michigan and representing the organization’s member companies within the Michigan Legislature.

Outside of work, Nathan can be found exploring the Great Lakes State and spending time with his wife and three dogs. He enjoys hiking, mountain biking, fishing and playing the saxophone.


Sherry Nelton, Office Administrator

Sherry has worked since 2007 for the Michigan Cable Telecommunications Association, where her responsibilities include coordinating office operations and event planning.

Her previous roles include membership and project coordinator of the Michigan Association of Secondary Schools Principals and project coordinator at the Michigan Association of School Boards. She has in-depth experience in project management for nonprofit organizations and has led the implementation of data management and membership recruitment systems, designed marketing materials, and coordinated membership communications.

One of Sherry’s favorite parts of her role is building relationships with MCTA’s members. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, going on walks and bike rides and spending time with loved ones including her husband, other family members and cat.
